Book List

Hey There!

I’m posting a list of all of the books I’ve been reading and have read in the last few months. They were very enjoyable and I highly recommend them to anyone that’s interested:

Books I have Read:

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod

The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman

The Book on Rental Property Investing by Brandon Turner

Books I am Reading:

On Writing by Stephen King

Don’t Make Me Think by Steve Krug

I realize that there isn’t a lot of fiction here, but I do find these books both interesting and useful, and I hope you do too.

Happy Learning,

Updates, Updates, Updates

Sorry for letting the time get away from me. I successfully finished last semester with awesome grades (A and B), but I’ve had to take some time off because of a mistake with registration which caused me to miss my deadline. Since I’m not one to sit on my hands, I’ve decided to take this time to work on my personal development. For me that means, reading a lot of books for leisure and educational purposes. It also means sticking to a steady exercise plan, continuing to eat healthy, and try to be a positive influence to those around me. I may not be where I want to be right now, but I’m still going to be happy and make the best out of my situation. Stay tuned for more updates.

…And remember, never stop learning.

What I’m learning

Other than working on my degree, I am also learning a few technical subjects. I’m learning technical writing, a subject that I’ve always been interested in and will be relevant to my current position. I will also be taking a certificate course in MSSQL. Very excited about that. I’ve always wanted to expand and improve on my database skills and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty!

Back to school

Yes. It’s that time of year again. It also means that we will have to purchase textbooks with ridiculously inflated prices. I personally am giving one of my books away for free. After all, students don’t really have a great deal of money—a fact completely lost on textbook companies. Even the rentals are becoming ridiculously expensive. I have created an account with an eBook/audio book company called scribd. I will give my full review once the semester is finished, but I can say that I was successfully able to get one of my textbooks from this site. As I also love audio books, I will look into this aspect too.
