It really is exciting and even a little scary how changes can happen so quickly in one’s life. For starters, I have decided on Health Informatics as my next major. It’s a mix of health/medicine and computer science. I’m also considering Nursing Informatics as well. My family has always worked on the side of medicine, with my mother studying to be a nurse and my brother being an administrator who has worked in several well known hospitals. Even my niece is in school for ultrasound technician, and is currently a student at New York Methodist Hospital. I’ve always had an interest in medicine. My decision was easy to make. It was like coming back home.
Instantly after making that decision, I’m back in school and working closer to home. And the best part is it feels so RIGHT. Changing my job earlier this year felt like a step in the right direction, but it still felt like something was missing. It wasn’t the transition I was hoping for, but it helped me to jump start thinking about my future again. It’s going to be a lot of work, but it will be worth it. I say don’t be afraid to change careers. Jump right into it. Spend time in this world doing the things that matter to you. You’ll be happier for it.
The editing on our Gamers Discuss podcast on 2020 gamer is almost completely finished. Marc is editing out all of our rips on him, teehee. I guess it wasn’t a fair fight.
Until next time…
